How to Use Taro Flavoured Powder

  • For Iced Drinks: Add 1 scoop (approximately 35 grams) of powder to 100 ml of hot water or tea base. Stir until well dissolved, then pour over a 500 ml glass filled with ice. Top with milk and your favourite bubble tea toppings.
  • For Blended Drinks: Add 2 scoops (approximately 70 grams) of powder to 350 ml of ice in a blender. Add 120 ml of milk and blend until smooth.
  • For Hot Drinks: Add 1 scoop (approximately 35 grams) of powder into 250 ml steamed/hot milk. Stir and enjoy.

What is Taro?

Taro (pronounced tah-row) is a root plant derived from Colocasia Esculenta. This edible tuber is native to Southeast Asia and India, but has gradually become a staple ingredient throughout the world including China, Africa, the Caribbean, and Hawaii. With its nutty flavour and light lavender colour, Taro has become a global favourite ingredient especially with Bubble Tea fans but can be used to flavour ice cream or even a sponge cake!
