Loose Leaf Black Tea – 100g 🧋🫖

The classic tea base for homemade bubble tea.

If you love a proper bubble tea, this is a cupboard essential. Our Loose Leaf Black Tea has a rich, full-bodied tea flavour that stands up beautifully to syrups, milk, ice and all your favourite bubble tea flavours.

It's incredibly versatile too. Use it to make refreshing fruit teas, classic iced teas or creamy milk teas, then add your favourite bursting boba, nata de coco or tapioca pearls to finish it off.

Each packet contains 100g of loose leaf black tea, giving you plenty to experiment with and create your own bubble tea combinations at home.

How to make Black Tea for bubble tea 🧋

For one drink:

Add approximately 5g of loose leaf black tea to 250ml of freshly boiled water. You can brew it directly in the water and strain afterwards, or use one of our Tea Strainers to make things quick and easy.
Allow to steep for approximately 3–5 minutes. Avoid leaving it for too long, as black tea can become bitter when over-brewed.
Remove your tea strainer or strain out the loose tea leaves.
Allow the tea to cool, or pour it over plenty of ice.
Add your favourite fruit syrup or cordial for a refreshing fruit tea, or add milk or creamer for a classic milk tea.
Finish with your favourite boba, nata de coco or tapioca pearls.
Give it a good stir, grab a boba straw and enjoy!

Make a batch

Making a few drinks or prepping your tea ahead of time? Brew approximately 20g of loose leaf black tea in 1 litre of freshly boiled water for 3–5 minutes.

Strain out the leaves, allow to cool and refrigerate. You'll then have a ready-to-go tea base for making bubble tea whenever the craving hits.

Tip: Bubble tea needs a stronger tea base than your everyday cuppa. Ice, syrup, milk and other ingredients all dilute the tea, so don't be afraid to brew it nice and strong — just use more tea rather than a longer steeping time to avoid bitterness.

The taste is strong but impeccable! I honestly get more focused while drinking this then when I have coffee, it's the real deal, authentic taste and perfect texture when mixed! Make sure you mix with a little bit of hot water first! then add your cold water and ice! Must have!
