Bubble Tea over the past 30 years has grown from its origin as a sweet milky black tea with tapioca pearls while now it includes iced teas and even drinks that do not have tea in them at all! Mind you, this is a contentious point amongst many a bubble tea purist. What seems to hold together the common thread of Bubble Tea nowadays, what makes it special (when compared to the normy drinks) are the delicious toppings that are served in the drink.
