Our Loose Leaf Rooibos is a naturally caffeine-free tea that's smooth, refreshing and incredibly versatile. Brew it hot, chill it down and pair it with your favourite fruit syrup, bursting boba or nata de coco to create your own bubble tea at home.

Rooibos has a naturally mild, slightly sweet flavour, making it a great alternative to traditional black or green tea — especially when you're making fruity bubble teas where you want the flavour to shine.

Each packet contains 100g of loose leaf rooibos, enough to make approximately 20 servings using our bubble tea brewing method.

How to make rooibos for bubble tea 🧋

For one drink:

Add approximately 5g of loose leaf rooibos to 250ml of freshly boiled water. You can brew it directly in the water and strain afterwards, or use a tea strainer to make things a little easier.
Allow to steep for 5–8 minutes. Rooibos doesn't become bitter as easily as traditional tea, so you can brew it a little longer if you prefer a stronger tea base.
Remove your tea strainer or strain out the loose tea leaves.
Allow the tea to cool, or pour it over plenty of ice.
Add your favourite fruit syrup or cordial to taste.
Finish with a generous scoop of bursting boba or nata de coco.
Give it a stir, grab a boba straw and enjoy!

Tip: If you're making iced bubble tea, don't be afraid to brew your rooibos nice and strong. The ice, syrup and other ingredients will dilute the tea, so a stronger brew gives you a more flavourful finished drink.

Make a batch

Making drinks for the family or prepping ahead? Brew 20g of rooibos in 1 litre of boiling water for 5–8 minutes, strain and refrigerate once cooled. Use it as your ready-to-go tea base whenever the boba craving hits.

The taste is strong but impeccable! I honestly get more focused while drinking this then when I have coffee, it's the real deal, authentic taste and perfect texture when mixed! Make sure you mix with a little bit of hot water first! then add your cold water and ice! Must have!

I made it for the first time and did follow the instructions, but the boba was getting stuck in the straw. that is my only criticism, I bought the cheap plastic ones though, so maybe that is the reason the tapioca was getting stuck!
