Tag a Chommie Challenge – Full Terms & Conditions

1. Overview
The Tag a Chommie Challenge is a pass-it-on style content competition run by BOBBA South Africa. It is a community-driven campaign focused on fun, creativity, and rewarding our loyal customers. By signing up and participating, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older to enter. If under 18, a legal guardian must accept any prizes on your behalf.
  • You must have made a purchase from our website (www.bubbleteashoponline.co.za) at any time in 2025. Any order value qualifies.
  • You must be able to prove your purchase with an order number linked to your email address.

3. Entry and Selection

  • To enter, sign up on our official website at www.bubbleteashoponline.co.za/tagachommie.
  • Only 3 entrants will be randomly selected as Team Captains on 28 August 2025.
  • The competition officially starts on 1 September and ends on 31 October 2025.

4. How It Works

  • Each Team Captain will receive a mystery BOBBA kit and be assigned to one of three teams: Team Taro, Team Matcha, or Team Milk Tea.
  • Captains must post a video or photo to Instagram, tag @bobba.sa, tag one chommie, and use the hashtags #TagAChommie and #TheGreatSouthAfricanBobaRace.
  • We will contact the tagged chommie via Instagram DM to get their shipping details and send them a free kit.
  • The chain continues until all five team members have posted.

5. Posting Rules

  • Only one chommie may be tagged per post.
  • If no chommie is tagged, the chain ends. No back-tagging is allowed.
  • Instagram account must be public. Private accounts cannot be verified and will be disqualified.
  • Any use of bots, fake engagement, or spam tactics will result in disqualification.
  • While there is no hard limit on how long a contestant can take to post, the competition runs from 1 September to 31 October. This means each contestant has an average of around 12 days to receive their parcel, create their post, and keep the chain moving.
  • If someone delays their post, they reduce the time available for the chommies who follow them. Keep your team in mind!
  • We operate Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. If you post outside these hours, your tag will be seen when we are next online.

6. Scoring and Virality

  • Once someone posts, they have exactly 7 days to rack up engagement.
  • At 16:00 on the 7th calendar day, we will record the likes, comments, shares, and saves.
  • Our team will use a scoring formula to calculate the virality of each post.
  • The formula is as follows: (Likes × 2) + (Comments × 3) + (Shares × 4) + (Saves × 4). This rewards deeper engagement and meaningful interaction. Views may be noted for context but do not contribute to the score.
  • The final chommie in the chain can still post up to midnight on 31 October, and their engagement will be tracked for a full 7 calendar days after posting. This is why the winners are only announced on 10 Novemb
