“What is bubble tea?
OK, so first things first. Bubble tea is traditionally a tea-based drink that originated in Taiwan in the 80s. The thing that really makes this cold refreshment unique, is the pearls – usually chewy tapioca ball, popping boba, or nada de coco (a jelly-like garnish made from fermented coconut water).
Bubble tea can be very refreshing and fun – if you don’t mind chewables in your drinks, and the bubbles can be used in non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, milkshakes, desserts, and so much more. People either love bubble tea or hate it.”
